Project Description
EVIDENT: bEhaVioral Insgihts anD Effective eNergy policy acTions
Energy efficiency depends on policy interventions for energy security, energy poverty and climate change promoted by innovative technology and energy investments. However, consumers have shown limited response to these technologies, creating an energy efficiency gap that represents financial and energy costs for national economies. Exploring individual behaviour can help reverse this trend. The EU-funded EVIDENT project will propose case studies under the framework of randomised controlled trials and surveys to define the main drivers of individual decision-making and to establish new relationships between energy consumption and other domains. The project will employ well-distinguished samples, innovative designs of experiments and advanced econometric models to obtain solid assessments for effective policy interventions.
